2tablespoonsunsalted butter, melted (for the dough)
1teaspoonvanilla extract
0.25cupunsalted butter, melted (for coating)
0.5cupgranulated sugar (for coating)
1tablespoonground cinnamon (for coating)
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour, 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar, baking powder, ground cinnamon, and sea salt. Whisk until evenly mixed.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the whole milk, the 2 tablespoons of melted butter, and the vanilla extract until combined.
Pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients and stir gently with a spatula until just combined.
Drop small balls of dough (around 1 inch in diameter) onto the lined baking sheet, ensuring space between each ball.
Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden brown and cooked through.
While baking, prepare the cinnamon-sugar coating by mixing ½ cup of granulated sugar with 1 tablespoon of ground cinnamon in a small bowl.
Once baked, cool the churro bites on the baking sheet for about 5 minutes. Dip each bite in the remaining ¼ cup of melted butter, then roll in the cinnamon-sugar mixture.
Transfer the churro bites to a serving platter.
Notes
